Top 10 Holiday Favourites

We all know that the best way to spread Christmas cheer is by singing loud for all to hear (see #2 below), but 24/7 caroling isn’t always possible. On today’s post, we’d like to share a few of our favourite ways to add more fun to your yuletide celebration – singing optional.

  1. Ugly Christmas Sweaters – they’re almost so bad they’re cool at this point! Even if you don’t plan to host or attend an Ugly Christmas Sweater party, you can wear one proudly throughout the holiday season. Keep it clean with our easy-care hand washing instructions for sweaters, located here on our website, so that your can enjoy your sweater for years to come!
  2. Elf quotes! This silly holiday movie has achieved cult status (if you don’t believe us, just type “elf quotes” into the Pinterest search bar to see all of the pins and related searches which come up), and sharing your favorite Elf quotes is a great way to treat every day like Christmas.
  3. Handmade Ornaments: you don’t have to be a professional crafter to get professional results! Click here for plenty of easy DIY ideas from PopSugar.
  4. Celebrate Festivus! Frank Costanza celebrated Festivus on December 23 to “get a jump” on Christmas. The holiday was inspired by one of the Seinfeld writers, whose family actually did celebrate Festivus (although it was a “roving holiday” with no set date).
  5. There are so many fun, creative treats you can eat: snowman on a stick, chocolate pine cones, and rice krispy treats which look like tree ornaments?! We’ve collected plenty more ideas here on our Pinterest board.
  6. Christmas Jokes! Make up your own,  check out these family-friendly jokes here on, or use this free printable from Spread the Joy to share a little Christmas cheer!
  7. Wear a funny holiday-themed hat…or put one on a furry friend! You can craft one for yourself or buy a ready-made; either way, you’re sure to spread some smiles!
  8. Host a Grinch Party to celebrate everyone’s favorite green curmudgeon – there are some great grinchy ideas here on the Totally the Bomb blog, or see our holiday pin board for more fun ideas!
  9. See some crazy light displays (or channel your inner Griswold and make your own!).
