The new year is almost here, and with it, the promise of a fresh start! This year, resolve to have clean clothes and a cleaner planet by incorporating a multi-tasking product into your regular Laundry routine – Eucalan! Here are a few resolutions to try out for 2013:
Dry cleaning involves a lot of chemicals that are bad for the environment, but items that are labeled "dry clean only" can be laundered quite easily & safely at home for a fraction of the cost. The Eucalan YouTube channel has plenty of easy tutorials to get you started, or you can use our quick tips here on the Eucalan website!
Resolution #2: Get a jump on Spring Cleaning
Rugs, carpets, and upholstery can be spot-cleaned easily using just a little bit of Eucalan diluted in some water (try mixing it in a spray bottle for easy application). Looking to do a deep clean with a carpet cleaning machine? You can use Eucalan instead of a traditional carpet cleaner!
When springtime rolls around, you'll be happy you got an early start at the beginning of the year!
Resolution #3: Conserve Water & Energy
Eucalan's no-rinse formula means that you won't have to use a lot of water when hand-washing your delicate items and woolens. However, there are lots of other ways to save water in the laundry room:
- Spot cleaning items that are otherwise clean, rather than tossing them in the washing machine.
- Treating stains ASAP, allowing them to sit for ten minutes prior to washing.
- Running your washer and dryer at night, preferably with back-to-back loads to take advantage of an already-hot dryer.
Resolution #4: Skip the Fabric Softener
Adding a few drops of Eucalan instead of a conditioner/softener to the rinse water will avoid the build-up that occurs with other fabric softeners. This build-up is also damaging to fibres, so switching to Eucalan will help your clothes last longer! As an added bonus, the lanolin in Eucalan will also help prevent static cling.
